You’ve picked your blade — maybe a clip point for control or a skinner for slicing. (If you haven’t yet, check out our Blade Selection Guide to start there first.) Now it’s time to finish the build with the handle that fits your grip, your grind, and your style.
At HAViK, we don’t do one-size-fits-all. Every fixed blade we make can be customized with different handle materials, shapes, and textures—all built for hard use and field comfort.
Step One: Pick Your Material
You’ve got two solid options, both tried, tested, and made to work as hard as you do.
- Aluminum – Machined from 6000-series aluminum and bead-blasted for a durable, grippy texture. It’s sleek, tough, and resists corrosion. Even when things get wet—or bloody—it stays locked in.
- G10 – A fiberglass-and-resin composite built for abuse. It’s lightweight, textured for grip, and holds up to heat, cold, and anything else you throw at it.
Both materials are close in weight, so your choice comes down to look and feel. Want a little more flash? Go aluminum. Prefer that tactical, no-nonsense finish? G10’s your huckleberry.
Step Two: Choose Your Style
Once you’ve nailed your material, you’ll choose between two handle styles:
- Pocket – A solid, contoured design that fills the hand and offers a confident hold.
- Skeleton – Minimalist and lightweight, with a stripped-down frame that’s easy to clean and quick to handle.
Each handle shape mounts directly to the same knife body, so if you ever want to switch it up later, you can.
Step Three: Mix, Match, and Swap
Every HAViK handle is interchangeable. If we release new colors, textures, or materials down the line, you can grab a handle kit and swap it out—no fuss, no special tools, no regrets.
So whether you’re chasing grip, comfort, or aesthetics, you can always fine-tune your knife without buying a whole new blade.
